PROCESS FOR DETERMINING ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY AT A MEMBER SCHOOL

The school administrator designated by each local school district is responsible for OSSAA eligibility compliance, and Rule interpretation. Questions from parents regarding OSSAA eligibility rules and policies should be directed to local school administration.

An Eligibility Record Form should be completed each year for each student in grades 7 through 12 prior to being allowed to participate at a member school. School Administrators may consult the OSSAA directly to inquire about eligibility requirements, or Rule interpretation upon completion of the New Student Form.

Eligibility Record Form

The Hardship Waiver Manual, which explains eligibility rules, foreign exchange student’s eligibility, and the process to follow in submitting a request for a waiver of eligibility rules, is linked below. The forms needed for a waiver request are also listed below.

School Administrators should direct their eligibility questions to the appropriate Staff member assigned to their school.
– Brian Lester schools beginning with letters A-F – Mike Clark schools beginning with letters G-N – Amy Cassell schools beginning with letters O-Z (including all OKC and Tulsa Public Schools) – Wes Ruth all foreign exchange student’s eligibility
